Crouch End Festival
As part of the Crouch End Festival 2016 local schools were invited to create large canvas' to celebrate Alexandra Palace's journeys over the years. Weston Park Primary we asked to explore Gymnastics at Alexandra Palace and the famous tight rope walker Charles Blondin.
We worked with Year 6 students to explore initial ideas and concepts, how to put together a comprehensive design looking at materials, composition and scale and the physical creation of the artwork. A small group of students worked together to create the design using inspiration from the initial design drawings from the whole class. The class then went on to add to the piece using pens, charcoal, chalk, paint and embroidery.
