Summer Term 1 After School Art Club

Summer Term 1 starts on Tuesday 23rd April and ends Thursday 23rd May (5 weeks). The term will be a total of £60 (£12 per class). Art club runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm. You choose a set day that you book for the term. 

Suitable for ages 5-11 years old. (If your child falls out of this age bracket please feel free to email and we can discuss options.) 

This term children we will be focusing on Artists old and new and exploring how the artists work can influence the children's own style and aesthetic. Each week children can add to their sketchbooks as well as create something to bring home if they wish. They will have the option to solely work in their books and/or create a ‘final’ piece to take home. I feel this is the natural progression from  the earlier sketchbook work they did; to be able to create ideas in their sketchbooks and then be selective in what they would like to make on a larger scale using inspiration from their books.

Artist information 

Artist and facilitator, Lisa has extensive knowledge of working with both children and adults on a number of projects and art workshops. Lisa has a passion for inclusive and interactive art and for the last 8 years has delivered art projects with over 30 primary schools across London. She values children’s imagination, ideas and creativity. Lisa wants to provide a platform from which they can learn, play and be creative. These projects are often inspiration for Lisa’s drawings. It is important to Lisa that children are provided the opportunity to explore their creativity outside of the school classroom, in a grown up and calm environment, where they can feel like their art work is valued and experiment with techniques not solely based on the curriculum. 

Lisa is Enhanced DBS Checked, has Public Liability Insurance, First Aid Trained and has attended Artist Facilitator training. Lisa has worked with all ages from babies to adults and all abilities. She has experience working with mainstream schools, with autistic children, children with PMLD and children with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
