May Half Term: Nature Art
Tuesday 28th - Thursday 30th May
The WORKSHOP N4 will be open Tuesday - Thursday during May Half Term, 10.30am - 2.30pm. The maximum capacity for this workshop is 16 children and it is suitable for children aged 5 -11 years old.
Nature and Art Week
In this three day workshop children will combine nature and art. They will have the opportunity to explore outside (Stationers Park) and with their findings create beautiful artwork from nature. It will be an explosion for the senses, allowing children to explore their surroundings with a detailed and inquisitive eye as well as using a variety of materials to be as creative as they like.
- Day 1 Nature Walk: Crown Making On the first day we will take a short walk to Stationers Park, make studies of plants and the park, forage for fallen leaves, twigs and flowers and collect little gems to take back to the workshop. They will then use their findings to design and create a nature crown to wear home as young nature warriors!
- Day 2 Nature Paint Brushes During day two children will use lots of foraged natural elements to create their own natural paint brushes. From the handle to the brush, all will be made entirely from nature. Once they have made their paint brushes they will create a large A3 painting using their new brushes, exploring texture, paint application and control of the different paint brushes they have created.
- Day 3 Nature Explosion Book Children will work with origami and mark making today. They will each create a beautiful explosion book. Inside their book they will create artwork using a variety of mediums from inks for pressed flowers. Each book will be individual to each little artist to take home and show off to family members and friends.
