Monday Term Time: After School Art Club
Autumn Term 2 After School Art Club
Monday after school art club is specifically designed for older children to focus on their creative skills and techniques from 5pm - 6pm every week. It can be booked on a drop in basis of £12 or book for the term at £10 per class. Term time runs from Monday 29th October - Monday 10th December.
Each term has a theme for the children to learn and explore. The theme for this term is exploring famous artists. We will be looking at artists that use a variety of techniques and mediums such as Picasso and Cubism, to include still life, Robert Rauschenberg and his technique of using collage/printing as well as other influential artists.
Each week the children will create a piece of work that they can take home. On the last day of term a collaborative workshop will be held whereby the children work together exploring all the skills they have learnt throughout the term to create a large immersive piece of artwork.
All materials will be provided.
Artist and facilitator, Lisa has extensive knowledge of working with both children and adults on a number of projects and art workshops. Lisa has a passion for inclusive and interactive art and for the last 7 years has delivered art projects with over 30 primary schools across London. She values children’s imagination, ideas and creativity. Lisa wants to provide a platform from which they can learn, play and be creative. These projects are often inspiration for Lisa’s drawings. It is important to Lisa that children are provided the opportunity to explore their creativity outside of the school classroom, in a grown up and calm environment, where they can feel like their art work is valued and experiment with techniques not solely based on the curriculum.
